flac on android?

Anyone knows if there is a trick to play .flac files on Android ? I'm using the HTC-Sense Music Player... or should i just convert to .wav (should be the same quality?) ?

Thanks

@edit: Got an HTC Desire HD.. from what I know it doesn't support .flac

why would you need lossless quality on a phone though?
i just want to get rid of all .mp3 files i have. I have enough space on my hdd aswell as on my phone to have everything replaced with .flac files. I can clearly hear the differences on my home stero system. Also sometimes I play songs from my phone via aux on my home-system (most times via aux/hdmi from my laptop).

falc files are 3 -5 times bigger then mp3....

thats why i wrote i got enough space
Parent
but how much space u have on ur phone that u can replace all the songs from mp3 to flac. ...
Parent
16gb sd card + ~1,5 gb on the phone

Theres still no reason to put FLAC on your phone, its a waste of space on a device like that, on the computer sure go ahead, I have some FLAC too, but the phone can't output anywhere near the quality of flac and you could have a lot more music with 320 mp3s...
the phone couldnt output the quality of flac? didnt knew that :o

320kbp/s .mp3.... sometimes there are 128 ones which are ten times better than 320.. i guess you rly cant trust that since everyone can jsut randomly convert it into 320 and propably will even choose the highest quality option when it doesnt make sense to convert from 128.mp4 to 320.mp3

space isnt a problem at all

Well yah, if they transcode to 320 its gonna sound like shit, thats why you need to have good sources too, what.cd is the only place I know I'm actually getting the listed quality, but my forums have yet to let me down (well a few tracks have been shit but meh)

I have friends that could explain this shit alot better lol

according to some android-forum the htc desire hd is capable of outputting .flac quality (ofc not with the internal speakers.. but via aux on an amplifier). There even was a rom which is the stock rom just with .flac support added (not support anymore tho and nothing which i would like to use since i use some other custom rom).

and ye i always look ages to get a decent quality when downloading songs :S
Parent
Hmm I guess I could be wrong, I was under the impression they still didn't have the ability to fully output FLAC *shrug*

I can't find anything specific for your device, just how to add it to the Droid Milestone, maybe you'll have to cook up a custom version of that rom yourself or bug the dev to add it : / I really need to get around to putting CM7 on my Galaxy S...

np maybe those guys on the forum were just talking bullshit.. i guess i will just try that "flac player" in the market and see myself if i can hear any differences

ye i jsut wrote on the xda-forum that i would like to see this feature added on the
revolution HD rom :P

maybe i will switch to the cyngamod tho.. never tried it but it looks quite nice from what i have seen on youtube :)

Download PowerAmp. It's not free but it's the best music player for Android. Supports flac and gapless playback.
Using poweramp, flac works flawlessly
