Find it sort of weird since they weren't actually uploading anything themselves and were totally compliant with the current US laws...

anyways, thank god warez-bb.org is still running strong <3

If they were, as you are saying, "totally compliant with the current US laws", they wouldn't get closed down...

About not uploading anything by themselves, have you read this? - "Intentionally and knowingly trafficking in counterfeit goods [...]".

It's just a witchhunt, divxden, vidxden etc are all still up and there's way more sites doing the exact same thing. The only difference is that they are not displaying the shows and movies in a way which would implicate them to justify the use of shutdown based on that quote..

You're right but I doubt anything serious will happen to them if they go to court because they clearly state that they are not responsible for any copyright infrindgement from the links they provide and a judge would be forced to let them off fairly unscaved unless they change the laws to a more concrete wording where the mere hotlinking of copyrighted material is punished severly.. A good lawyer can get them off quite easily the way laws are right now.. Just have to claim that they were not doing this intentionally, which is a bit tricky but provided good judicional support, easily doable imo :D
