TAMPA, Florida -- Legendary wrestler (Macho Man) Randy Savage was killed Friday in a car accident, after suffering an apparent heart attack.

He was 58.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, Savage's 2009 Jeep Wrangler crossed a raised concrete median and drove through oncoming traffic before hitting a tree about 9:25 ET Friday morning.

He was transported to Largo Medical Center, where he later died from his injuries.
