Apart from my personal opinion you should consider the fact people actually have different interests and likings. He only asked you to tell him what's "so entertaining with watching some ppl riding bikes".
How about giving him a proper answer then?
Tennis: Boring as well.
Biking: Hell, I rode my bike to school for three years every day and I'm a fat lazy bastard and noone gave me credit for it.
