realtek microphone problem

i got a realtek soundcard and since 2 days my mic dont work anymore.i tested the mic on a laptop and is ok but at my home pc it doesnt work anymore.any suggestions?

Do you have "Set Default Device" on microphone selected in your control panel?

Disconnect mic, reconnect it and select the microphone option when the box pops up???

i did all and it did not worked.so i reinstalled the sound driver and it works :).thanks guys anyway
