Brink no

I finally managed to get my [email protected], 4GB XMS2 4-4-4-12, ATI 4870, ASUS P5Q PRO, OCZ 750w PSU back...

And now brink don't wonna worky.... won't even load up. I purchased from steam. I even tried the cracks for it... no good...

It's Windows Vista tbh... I had it working on Windows XP with my laptop...

omg Brink omg
seems like you have to play ET instead of this bullshit ;) or hon!
How functional is HoN at the moment?

Was playing a lot before the 25th and was planning to when I return home on the 1st, however whenever I browse the forums there are tens of pages of rage threads over servers being down.

Is it that bad? Or is it a case of impatient kids making idle threats?

Its lagging like a fucking homehosted ET server with 64 people on it.

Best comment ever +1

it works fine, but sometimes it crashes or laggs.

Someone else I know couldn't get it to work on vista either... You massive sailor
I had to install Win7 x64 anyway, and it now works nice. 50-100fps with 1920x1080, all on max settings... get 400fps on movie scenes :D.

Wait.. people still play brink?
mine didnt startup either, and had to change around some settings. but working now. for me also had to update gfx drivers
To be honest it's probably not Vista causing it.
Try fiddling around with the CFG, especially the resolution and displayrefresh parts. I would imagine those could cause crashes if set incorrectly.
having the display refresh rate set wrongly causes the game to crash on some Ati and nVidia cards just after the game has been started..

got vista and working fine
check your graphic propterties, especialy triple buffering stuff
Keep reaffirming your PC that it has adequate resources to run the game, belligerently denying any other alternatives.

Your perpetual erroneous argument will eventually break the computers resolve and will run the game accordingly.
