Staying up late to see the last games between CLG & TSM. All those qualified for Dreamhack are already known but CLG and TSM had two awesomely tense games uptil now. Let's see what the third one brings us.

You keep rubbing it in that LoL > HoN and you make them hon-nerds mad.
I approve.
Especially so while HoN is down again. Oh, the butthurt.
yes i am butthurt that some funny guy decided to DDoS the shit out of HoN, but that has nothing to do with LoL being up or down (most likely the latter)..
However, that is irrelevant. What baffles me is that now that HoN is down, the only thing these Crossfirean HoN players seem to do is express mass butthurt towards LoL in various journals regarding the subject.
I mean, when LoL is down I haven't noticed any League of Legends players here whining about Heroes of Newerth being utter shite all the time because they have nothing better to do. Gee, I wonder what that heralds of?
i can prove it with only a few examples:
no denying.
towers being too imba early game making it impossible to dive for kills for a long time.
leaving your lane to gank actually only punishes you cause it takes so fucking long to get there + no tp's. leading to everyone farming for like 30-40mins and then a massive fight. what is this i dont even..
5 or something heroes for a week if you wanna play for "free".
replay much??? D==D=ASDASD=
(this one is based solely on my opinion) cartoonish shit graphics.'
these i came up in like 20secs so i could point out more but cba to research.
now before you get on the butthurt wagon, this actually isnt butthurt. it is pure criticism caused by the sudden urge to get your next fix due to HoN being down and many of us tried LoL.
feel free to leave a few pointers yourself comparing the two.
Obviously you have never played the game on a level above extreme shit. If you take your head out of your ass you'll notice that HoN played on a low skill level by low skill players is exactly the same, nobody ganks, people fail towerdives even if they do less damage than in LoL, and people can't deny.
Here's something I wrote before to someone claiming the exact same things:
And yeah, turretdiving is possible on early levels depending on your champion. It's possible about as soon as it is in HoN. There are ten free champions a week, but more can be unlocked by playing the game (this also keeps many retards off the more difficult champions until they actually can play), for some playing two games is enough to unlock one champion, for others you might need a day or two.
What you probably don't realise is that League of Legends is not Heroes of Newerth: Free to Play Edition, but a separate game.
its not like comparing CS and ET, which have far less common but basically the same concept (FPS).
ye soz its 10 champions, havent played in a long time. people cant deny, as there is no denying avaible, because it isnt POSSIBLE in the game, do you even know what it means? iim not sure what you meant by relating it to the players skill level..
are you seriously saying LoL is more gank oriented and faster paced than HoN? the lack of TP's is enough to make it to a boring farm fest even on high level. trust me i know.
Ganking is possible and very easy, somewhat thanks to the map being physically smaller than in Heroes of Newerth. It doesn't "leave you back" in XP because you'll only be gone from your lane for one or two creep waves. There is a teleport spell (albeit it has a relatively long cooldown of three minutes or so) and several champions have teleport skills and other kinds of cross-map ultimates.
Denying by killing your own creeps isn't possible in LoL, it is possible in HoN but that doesn't mean that noobies do it. In LoL people are denied of XP and gold by zoning them out using the brush or by simply attacking them and forcing them back to their tower.
There is an unofficial replay solution which is easy to use and works well, however an official solution is in the works I hear.
LoL is very gank oriented and fast paced on any level other than the lowshit level you're on when you start. If you actually had played the game you'd know, or well, you could notice it even by watching some videos where skilled people play the game. The farming lane phase usually won't even last 20 minutes in higher ELO, as in after that there are mostly larger teamfights. Season 1 championship finals are beginning soon I think and there are dozens of high ELO streams on own3d, so it's not very difficult to see how the game is really played.
3 lanes, creep spawns, 5v5 with each controlling 1 hero, objective is to destroy the other teams base, towers need to be destroyed 1st, gold farming.. etc. i could go on forever but i guess you understand.
now lets compare CS and ET like you mentioned. similarities: 5v5 FPS
i guess you only play people lower than you if they let you push them back to a tower by laning with heroes that cant deal with yours.. unless you mean 3v2'ing or something. How is this better than HoN?
Back to my original point, explain to me what is better in LoL than in HoN.
Two teams, 5v5 format, multiple weapons of which only a couple are used most of the time, other team has to destroy something and the other team has to defend it, people die when they are shot at enough, guns shoot bullets and are made of metal, both games contain grenades.. etc. I could go on forever but I guess you understand.
I guess you have never actually even played more than one round and that was against bots. Are you even trying?
"Don't like what I don't like!"
>point out universal similarities in gun games
>"Are you even trying?"
how is LoL > HoN
which was the original point that you keep ignoring
What you don't get is just because they represent the same genre (MOBA) doesn't mean that they should be copies of each other. Additionally, just because you have played HoN more and just can't quite get your head around to learning LoL doesn't make it a bad game.
it isnt like i wouldnt learn the game, its because i dont wanna (see earlier). now how much have you played HoN? psr/mmr?
Just for the record, how many times have I claimed HoN to be crap in this discussion? Protip: not fucking once.
They're both nice games, both have their highs and lows and neither of them is better than the other one. I have both of them, have logged some 400 hours on LoL and 50 hours on HoN. The reason for this is that all my friends play LoL and none of my friends play HoN, and this kind of games are boring as dick to play alone.
and have i claimed you are saying anything about HoN? no i am DEMANDING some criticism towards it, you just dont seem to get it. this way we might have a serious conversation about the 2 games.
50 hours isnt even 100 games, right?
you keep making this into opinion based discussion, which is like hitting your head against the wall. i gave solid points where HoN is superior to LoL (from a gamers perspective), you just keep acting like i know nothing and make nifty comments like "dont like what i like!".
case closed.
