SAGE & QL tourney

this wasn't discussed in public afaik, but if you remember in cc7 QL tourney when Sweden ferus won and didn't get his prize. because he was late for his flight, he asked the admins and they said no. (afaik admins or Germany butchji aka 2nd place got it)


whats ur opinion on this situation? is this normal to win and not get what you were aiming for???? or he should get his i7 proc and be late for flight and waste moneys on new flight?

i feel kinda sad when you waste time and effort to win something, and you just get a no.

i saw ceremonies on random events and sometimes admins just said "<insert random progamer name> couldn't be here, because he was late and got his prize" and ceremony continued without him, because its understandable

u deserve it by winning that tournament, no matter if ur there or not to pick up prizes afterwards, can be arranged to ship it on his home.

I always see people on big screens giving a statement when they won a TMF award. They shouldn't get it if they are not there right? :DDDD

i didnt say they shouldnt get it but they dont deserve it if they dont care enough to be there when the prize ceremony is

it was impossible to finish the QL tourney because too many players were involved in heavy delays and there were other problems such as the power out. I am not totally sure who got the prize in the end (imo a player of the competition did)

This is ESPORTS, happens nonstop.

Hilarious thing bout lans is aswell that ppl have to wait weeks/months to get the money they have won, it doesnt make any sense at all.

The hillarious thing is that you "try" to play in online cups like EC and ESL which take longer to receive prizes...

Dont try and contradict your statement. It was one of the worst i have read whilst browsing crossfire. My issue isnt entirely with the prizes, although instant receive would be nice, its that ur comment read haha wont go lan cos takes months to win prizes but i'll play comp online...

The issue there was that the prize ceremony was right at the end of the 3 days (and very, very late). Yes, I do agree (somewhat) that the prize should have been given to him. But it was a fun tourney and I suppose the meaning of it was similar to that of a raffle.

Anyway, this is a different LAN with (almost) different admins. And this time we're talking cash, so there won't be any "you didn't show up to collect your prize, you're not getting it" issues.
