laptop getting hot!

yo bros @ CF,

this is a story all about how my laptop gets hot. Has always done so, but now gets hotter than ever unless i prop it up on something on my desk - i imagine shit is getting dusty down there :<

any soloutions? have been looking at usb laptop coolers, so any recommendations would be ideal

also, is using compressed air on the fans a good idea? will it solve the problem?

interesting proposal my dear friend, i have already looked at it and considered, but some seem to come with a usb hub of like 4 usbs, which would be more perfect for me. but thankyou for your kindness. it shall not be forgotten

could be that the vents are blocked with dust in which case getting those dusty fellows out will help yeah

could be various other things though, laptops are a bit temperamental sometimes...

most of the heat when its sitting down will probably be from the battery /psu though, if youre running on battery try taking it out and running it with just the cable for a while and see if that brings the temp down.. if yes try a new battery
