so tell me dear et players

a:what map do you like most

b: and why? what is so good on this map that other maps don't have?

c: what do most et players hate about frostbite, et_ice & adlernest? if it's a lotto map tell me why

d: do you like to split the map in 2 fases like on supply before & after flag? (so they can't win the map if you got long spawn & fuckup at start)

e: do you prefer vehicles in a map?

the reason why i am asking this is because me & nukitz are trying to make a map with that most et players would like

adlernest is a great map tbh, and et_ice is okay. I don't hate frost, but don't like to play it either :)

1) radar (although i hate it a little bit cause i get 15-20 fps average with my pc)

2) lots of stuff to do in that map (tactics or rather... moves or smt like that)

3) adlernest and frostbite are lotto maps idd imo cause ive done lepari stuff in those maps and its all my luck with a little use of skill. i hate lean maps like deliv cause i get outaimed by noobs too much :p

a: in a clan, radar, when mixing, probably adlernest or supply

b: radar provides brilliant scope for tactics and is a true teamplayers map. adler and supply are just fun when mixing around

c: ice is a badly deigned map. frostbite is much the same. i suppose adler is hated because of its luck factor - its annoying playing a map where the better team doesnt win in competition

d: supply has 4 phases: 1) 1st area, 2) 2nd area, 3) area inside base, 4) defence

b) Nice long range shooting(Not not too long like in radar at some points but long enough) for both sides(Allies and axis).

c) These maps take around 2-3 minutes at an average to complete a round which is not fun, maps should be long taking around 8-10 minutes as average round time and they have Short range shooting mostly.

e) Yes.
much prefer 'LUCK' maps .. what's the point in seeing all the very top teams winning supply/grush every game?

it is very frustrating knoing that you have played better on a map, but lose it due to a luck factor though, and that seems to happen all the time on adler/frost

true, but a lot of people overuse the word 'lucky' on adler

e.g. if they get 2 man panz'd they would say lucky, yet it's their fault for getting killed :P

1. Voilegarde, radar.
2. Voilegarde is oldschoolish map, played on noquarter, so amazing. Radar isn't camp-only map like deli, there's long ranged actiong, that's what i like.
3. Taking objectives is really amazing. Yeah, those maps are easy for skilled jumpers (for example Estoniafredd(fanboi hihi)).
4. Whatever.

b: might be my rtcw sentiment here (for et_beotch) and for supply, radar they are well balanced, some areas are open some closed which provides a variety and actually influences aiming and gameplay... :)

c: dno, ice is one of the best maps ever and frost/lotto are also nice.

d: yup, defo, tho the spawntimes can be horrible...

e: yes, but supply style, ie. indestructible :), tho infantry only > vehicles always and forever :)
I think Ice's first stage sucks ass. It's too much about rushing and too little about organizing proper defences. The second stage (objective defence) is pure annoyance thanks to the ladder crap. Also the flag spawn shouldn't be capturable after the side entrance is blown or something like that, it's annoying how the whole attack can be pushed entirely back to the very first phase of the map by one axis managing to sneak to the flag from side or somewhere.

Frostbite is pretty good, although the last objective can be kinda annoying to get sometimes. I blame the ladders, they tend to ruin games because they're too easy to camp and you can't hit anything when you're climbing one thanks to the ridicilous spread. Same for the first objective, but the side entrance and the small main door easen it up a lot.

Adlernest is awesome. Sure, there's a "luck" element if you manage to get the defence into one or two fullspawns you can win the map real quick, but that's not really luck, is it (except for the randomgenerated spawntimes, but that affects every map). The map is just kinda unforgiving for mistakes made while defending. It's one of my favourite maps anyways.

Radar, supply, GR, bremen are nice maps. I do sometimes hate goldrush bank stage, there's way too much crossfire there if the opposing team is good and it can be really annoying to attack then. Bremen would be nice but it's kinda large, as in there are these long corridors (in the map they're roads though) where you can't take any proper cover in and are an easy target. The small bunker windows in Supply are annoying thanks to hitdetection sometimes (only head is visible but you still shoot bodyshots) but are an essential part of the map and I can't really think of any good replacement for them.

b) amazing design, the map has a lot of diversity : driving a tank, securing an objective to a boat and escorting the boat. not suited for competitive gameplay though, would need quite a lot of adjustments

the competitive scene is so freaking focussed on a handful of maps which made the gameplay standardized and the outcome of the game predictable
Venice is way too large and long for 5v5.

b: they are more awesome than others, and especially not gay like delivery

c: dno, I like them

d: I like maps where you have the possibility to sneak through and force the oppo to move back that way, which is also the case in maps like supply or bremen (with covie+eng)

e: there should always be maps with and without, i need variety
