Well, to be honest the only half-decent default maps competition wise are Radar and Goldrush. Oasis is a borderline candidate but personally I don't like it at all, and Fueldump is decent on publics. Battery and Railgun are lost causes.

stupid argument :most of the comunity thinks this.i have already seen mentality of comunity.just a simple fact:railgun is one of the few maps where axis attacks.it s well structured,with 2 spawmpoints for both teams,is quite big enough for a public,even for 6on6 suitable,and is good for trickjumping

Axis attacking in a map doesn't make it good. The train shizzle is annoying because both teams can move them, and the capturable Depot Yard makes the map too random for stopwatch because one or two axis fullspawns and your whole progress in the map can be basically undone.

Battery on the other hand is just bad. The first stage is retarded as heck to attack, especially while the assault ramp can be destroyed with a satchel charge. The back door, if dynamiteable, means the defence has to be too spread out to work in competition. The second stage is even more cancerous than sp_delivery_te with the narrow bunker corridors and the Axis spawning basically on top of the Allied route to the gun controls.

Nope, but they were only used as competition maps because there were no alternatives. There's a reason for them not being popular nowadays, not even amongst the oldest of oldscoolers.

At least the southern bits of it are on the same latitudes as the Mediterraean, and they don't have snow in the Mediterraean region.
