laptop began burning spontaneously, need new one

one of the places where the burning/smoke melted away the plastic... there was smoke from quite a few places but only that part burned... anyway, it seems to be functioning fine other than a complete lack of sound (i assume the soundcard burnt), and i'm writing this journal using it

burning plastic smells awful

i'm gonna get a new one, any recommendations? budget is up to £500 or so

there were news that people were starting to burn spontaneously out of no where
it was predicted that it was related somehow to farts and people holding them

i have problem with overheating too on my laptop.is when u run many programs simultanely.i heard there are special coolers u put it under laptop and this problem dissapears.

I had a Packard bell image: 5050
It was a pain in the ass overheating shutting down after playing 2 hours wolfenstein had to wait 2-3 hours to let it cool down to play again making alot of noise(cooling fan wasn't even working right still making alot of sound).
