Wide Screen Question

Just bought a new PC, tried to connect to a random SLAC server, but I am getting this error:

Downloaded the game from ET Ultimate Installer.

I am using a wide screen monitor, anyone knows what are the classic customheight and customwidth settings for ET?


If anyone knows how to fix this, it would be great!

try using compatabilty mode or smthing,

i dont know anything about compatability modes or something, can you provide some links maybe?

what kinda OS are you using?
guessing it would be w7 ? or vista

in both cases, right click on the ET icon, then go to properties? ( im used to the dutch version so i dont know if its really called properties or not) , and there should be a check box for using compatibility mode and a "start with administrator rights" try those and see if it works.

it works, though i did those by clicking on slac and not ET.

dnno , on my 19inch screen i used 1280x 1024,
using a 24 inch now but i stopped playing et like a year ago

tried that, though my screen took a weird shape, enemies were like so skinny and the halls and stuff were thinner if u see what im trying to say :)

another way: what is your native resolution (usually the max res LCD screens can achieve)

Then your aspect ratio is 16:9. Use 1920x1080 in ET. If it looks "thin", its because you've been playing with a shit aspect/resolution combo before

Got 22" 1920*1080 and playing at r_mode -1; r_customwidth 1280; r_customheight 720 and it's fucking perfect.
r_mode 8-6 and stuff suck.

Of cours if you screen resolution is 1920*1080. That is just perfect for aiming (pref >105 fov) and fps are stable.
