partition deleted accidentely

Loal, my pc was getting slow again, so i tried to reinstall my xp again.
Now for some reason, im sure i selected the good drive, but XP deleted the partition of my external HD, including all my personal files i gathered for the last 3 year.

at this very moment i didnt install a partition on it, so i cant enter it. And the files wich are on it, are not deleted. so there is a possibility to revocer them. mhm, i found some shit, googled some. but all the most easy explainable methods are paid. so if somebody got advices, experiences, plz share them:)

much love <3

PC Inspector File Recovery maybe
^what he said
I wouldn't bother trying to recover them, suck it up like a man.
Most programs will recover files e.g. movies will be split into about 4 different parts, and all the names will be gone so you'll be getting random names which sucks for music and so on.

Happened to me with a 500GB and a 1TB ext hdd.
But try

Both good.
for music its not worth the effort... but i also got much school things on it, and it would be terrible if i lost them!

at this very moment ive got a program going through the disc and finding back my shit godlike. it will take rly long, but i guess its worth it:)

recovery usually doesnt work.
i guess its time to say: if you used win7 you would not have ANY problem at all.
so go out earn some money and buy an OS which isnt older than my granny.
As long as youre not mentally challenged XP is fine for all users.

je zit op vmbo denk ik?
Use dropbox to backup your school stuff. It's foolish not to have at least one backup of your files.

Try this: http://db.tt/WBFjJPt (yeah that's a referral giving me 200mb extra if you register with it)
or without referral: www.dropbox.com
i always use testdisk to recover partitons.
