iPod/iPhone charger

My iPhone battery is a piece of shit and I have a few long trips ahead of me and I was advised BY United KingdomTOSSPOT to purchase an external charger. Looking to buy one of these and the reviews are positive, but I was wondering if anyone on Crossfire has first hand experience with one of these:

didnt buy this my ipod akku is ok till i reach another place. if not i switch to my mobile.

My laptop broke a year or so ago, and that wouldn't really help much as charging my phone from my laptop would kill my laptop battery.

Trains/planes don't tend to have plug sockets in economy, so that wouldn't help either :(

In my experience most phones are shipped quite inefficiently and can be tweaked for better battery performance (only experienced the open source kind however)

they run in the background providing shortcuts across submenus and shit, the same way programs run on a pc after the window's closed (in some cases)

comparable to disabling processes via task manager
