nVidia N12P-Q3 Quadro 2000M 2GB :D not so good
Really? Would it run game like call of duty on full graphics?
Parent
i just dont recommend it get something with 460m or 6970m

Whats the use purpose? The Quadro graphics arent that hot if I recall correctly.
Watch some HD movies, play LoL, maybe some call of duty, and study (!)

CoD isn't going to happen well I don't think.

To be honest for that money you could get this: http://www.dell.com/uk/p/alienware-m15x/pd?oc=n00w1503&variant=3:254756~6:455377~8:469542~11:597177~16:301241~146:426097~760:301233&model_id=alienware-m15x

It will do everything you want and with an SSD would increase performance on the boot time and basic tasks. Getting an SSD is a big improvement.

Any upgrades you would recommend? Processor maybe?
Parent
Depends on your budget, the next processor up would deliver a big improvement but its 400 pounds there which takes it over your 1400 Euro budget. Upgrading the Ram one step will give you a cheaper improvement.
Parent
don't need more HD space??
rest is cool.
conspiracy... im on the lenovo site checking the technical info of the thinkpad _right now_

e: Can't recommend you any laptop as I got no clue and need one myself :s
Haha, in Switzerland we can buy those through university, which gives us a good deal (arround 30% off market price)
Parent
i give you the money and you buy one for me ! :P

btw i would go for a 17" laptop, other gfx card, dual harddrive (80gb ssd + 1tb hdd)
Parent
Any link for that? :D

haha ^^

hmm the only one i found was the asus g73.. there are many different types of the asus g73.. different designs aswell as gfx card (some with ati, some with nvidia).. some with blu-ray and some without.

Just check them on google. I found one g73 edition which was completely black (so it didnt look that much like a gaming notebook) with 6gb-8gb ram, i7, blu-ray, some rly nice nvidia gfx card, 2 hdd slots (2x 500gb sata) and ofc 17" with 1920x1080.

maybe you could ask the dell support if there is an extra slot available in some of there notebooks.. but i guess not :S

"Say no to lenovo"
Quadro series are meant for professional workstations, delivering great performance in CAD and DCC applications such as SolidWorks, 3ds Max, AutoCAD, and many more, they are not meant for gaming.
6 cell battery is a joke, i7 is a joke too, unless you like scrambling eggs on your laptop.
The 1920x1080 screen on XPS15 is one of the best you can get apparently but I haven't been able to compare.
lenovo, no
anything else but this
