Hello Folks,
I received my LG E2260 21inch LED Full HD monitor from ebuyer.com this morning. I haven't used the screen much but I thought I would give it a quick review.
Firstly the most noticeable thing is the size. Aside from being 21inches corner to corner, the whole construction is incredibly thin, maybe only a few millimetres wide. This means I have much much more desk space now than I did before with my LCD screen. The stand does feel a little wobbly but its good enough. The design is nice and crisp, the black fits the rest of my setup perfectly and the lights, buttons and stand are spot on in my view.
Being an LED screen there is a good contrast ratio of 5000000:1 and more colours than you can shake a stick at. As a result the picture is really good, even up close. There are plenty of modes available on the monitor settings too including 'monochrome'.
The main downside though is the refresh rate which is 60hz. This is lower than I expected (i was hoping for 80hz atleast). This probably won't be a problem to the
average user but may be an issue for gamers more than anyone.
So overall its a sexi looking monitor with a nice picture at a good price. However, it disappoints with the low refresh rate. LED screens are defiantly the way to go but if your'e a gamer I would suggest finding a higher model in the range with a better refresh rate.
edit: ET looks beautiful on it !!
