New internet !:E[

I bought myself yesterday a new pc. So i already had a pc(my dad's) with working internet but i want internet on my new pc too. I'm using wireless (dad's & new) But on my dad's its working and on mine it's not. Already tried several things but nothing worked out. It's saying: "cant find network adress" or "Not able 2 connect " Can somebody tell me step for step how 2 setup that new wireless connection 2 my router?? thanks in advance.! <3

set the ip's manually in your Network configuration .

Try this : IP Adress 192.168.178.12
Subnetmask255.255.255.0
standart gateway 192.168.178.1

ctrl panel > network connections > right click LAN > properties > Internet Protocol > Properties

You've probably got some kind of wireless security enabled on the router, which is a good thing. If this is the case, you'll need to access the router and tell it to accept connections from your new PC. Don't even think about doing that via wireless, though.
