Have to agree with you. The CB crew seems to be totally careless concerning the cheater issues.

There are about 2 clearly busted players per week, but no reaction from CB, some of them are even playing EuroCup, which should be a respect league where cheating should be punished severely.

There is a huge overhaul and change of policy on the way within ClanBase. There are two coders working full time of implementing an automated tracking system to detect cheaters who are trying to play again.

This is why cheat processing is being somewhat cripled for a few more weeks. Once the new system is implemented, it will lighten the workload for those admins involved in cheating. At the moment it is very timeconsuming...

But what about now? During oc, ec and nc? They shouldnt wait until the new system is ready with banning people. There are many reported people currently competing in all these cups, and there has been done didly about it. Banning them after the cup is finished is not good enough.

The problem is that about 0.01% of the community knows this forum. It would make alot more sense if it was used via crossfire, or at least there should be a link or two somewhere.

Or just make a news/sticky about it, that "secret banboard" system doesnt really work in larger scale.

it has been said thousands of times on crossfire that the gtv forum is the cb forum where you can report and bu$t cheaters. Some guys still dont know the forum though. I agree implementing a link on crossfire.nu and/or gtv.org would solve alot of trouble.

i think atm it s useless talk about cheaters busted or semi-busted... i will laugh @ rtcw2 where hopely, as a sold game, cheating will be punished with cdkey's ban.

corrupt? There is one shitty thing about gaming communities. They highlight the bad, yet so many good things are being done. Admins are volunteers and try their best, which also results in mistakes. But yet they are the only people willing to run cups for ET players such as yourself.

Perhaps think twice about whining badly when you know how many hours they spend to run an enjoyable cup for you. Because I can tell you that it can be pretty demotivating for a crew.

Now, back on topic. I hope that as well (as I am not personally involved), but they have been planning and working on this since May this year. Quite some preparation time...

Ofc they have a hard work and me and all others should be and is gratefull if so just maybe unaware of your work or just not expressivly. But if you as a admin don't enjoy doing the work, why do it at all? I bet there is others that would steer up things anyway.


And I bet if you was fully aware/accepting of what I ment then your reply would have been totaly diffrent.

Well CB rox... i remember razz that only remove some trees,, and get banned for long time.. and i remember some ppl that have aimbot and wh and cb don't do anything (like mize that is still not banned,,,)

maybe clanbase should think about attaching some sort of guid to an home address. everyone who wants to play at cb gets his guid send home. the problem is that cb probably cant afford the shipping thus the players would have to pay for shipping and there will be hardly anyone who would pay those 3-4 €

the idea isnt so bad - with low costs it would work i think. in germany u can make urself a "trusted person" at the post office e.g.
another option could be the number on our passports like its used with pornsites

yeah, thats why we need an official association. every clan has to pay for their teams. i would do it like all other sports in the world. if u wanna play officially with ur team u get a passport that will cost money.
i dont know any sports club that is for free. if i remember right i had to pay 50bugs a year for my soccer club when i was 6 years old...
an esport-associaton would change the whole scene (thinking bout LAN´s, prize money and and and)

blame etpro anticheat and evenbalance for not
investing more effort into the anti-cheat work ..

might be that evenbalance isn't really interested in
putting more effort into their work for et,
which is a priceless game.

and @ ESL, it took the anti-cheat crew some time
before they released their new anticheat system
and directly busted more than 50 cs1.6 players at once.

so just be patiented..

3 months is given to players when they just change a cvar on purpose, which applies to games like CS.

I think the permanent banning is rather futile. It sounds tough and yes that is ideally the punishment everyone would want to give in order to raise the bar to actually try one.

However, when ppl have nothing to loose they will try to get in regardless.

It is an interesting topic to discuss and neither option is perfect until ISPs would love to help and block them :D
