If you are low- in ET you can always play medic :P unless you are brainless aswell.
And you can start playing competitive just after downloading the game,TF2 has lot of shitnoobs playing it.Just go to #tf2.wars or something like that and search for div6.
Badlands and granary are most played maps, check them out 1st.
