ET problem

ok been away for a while, i just reinstalled ET again on my W7 64bit machine with the ultimate installer. I use mouse MX518 with setpoint drivers (to use all extra buttons)

When I execute ET.exe as administrator, none of my extra mousebuttons word.
When I start ET.exe NOT as administrator, they work but I get thiserror when joining game: Game Code (ui_mp_x86.dll) Failed pure server check

Somebody knows what todo?

no idea about W7, but would try reinstall or smth like that (finding another version of et) as some files are obviously corrupted
e: what matjj said, do you really have 64bit et version?

x86 = 32 bit!

i am at work ftm so i copy pasted the error from google. It could be not the exact same error, i can play on some servers with ET.exe not in administrator mode though. I thought I would post it here on cf in the hope someone has encountered the same problem so at the time when I get home, I could already have a fix for it :)

you have to set the game in compatibility mode with windows xp. ET.exe > Right Click > Properties > Compatibility

ET Ultimate Installer is quite shit afaik.
I've the 64bits win 7 pro version it works fine with a proper installation. Try that instead, maybe it will fix your issue.
I used to play with a Logitech g500 and I never had this problem so it probably comes from the game.
Did you try to update to the last version of your mouse driver?

I meant the OS version. There's no specific "ET 64bits" version mate :p

ah ok lol thought so because couldnt find link on sd site. I read many issues on W7 that's why i was advised to install that one. Maybe as final result i do have to reinstall everything :|

make sure u got the ui_mp_x86.dll in your etmain
