Im going to continue the diet I used to go with (Atkins). For peoples who don't know what I am meaning with this: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Atkins_diet
Last year I dropped away -18kg's with this.
Im a bit lost with my motivation, because its summer time and I like to enjoy it by buying pretty calouric stuff. Im feeling to ask if here is someone who got exprience about the atkins. Im getting pretty much boored also with the breakfasts etc. The same foods are coming away almost from my ears for now. (Eating eggs and so on as a breakfast always)
A few questions to you
What keeps your motivation up with this lifestyle?
What gives you the energy for some sports?
What kind of food you like to eat on a morning, lunch etc. ?
How much you drink water daily?

and if you just exercise normally.. like twice a week..
can't you just do that?
Good luck..
Just play football with friends, or if you don't like football, just play another sport with friends. If you don't have the motivation to go to the gym by yourself, you have to find something that's fun aswell (e.g. playing football with friends).
Ja tärkeintä on se että viikon kokonaiskulutus on enemmän kuin mitä oot syöny.
Like i said, unsustainable. This is what i do mate, i know what i'm talking about and nobody EVER sticks to it. You need a sufficient enough diet to continue it for years. Lowcarbing just doesn't work unless you want to look good for all of a month aka summer hols then it's a treat but it just can't be kept up.
Gotta agree on a complete low carb diet though (like the Atkins). That's probably not sustainable or healthy in any way. Weight loss is quite insane though :-D
i lost 15kg after my education when i started to work for real.
Lunch: Some healthy mixed meals
Dinner: No carbs
No snacks or sugary drinks and you'll have a sustainable weight loss. Depending on your general activity and the fun times on weekends, you'll lose around 1 kg per week (more or less).
I'm doing this since 2,5 years now with some breaks during summer time (bbq, beer, partying etc.) and lost around 73 kgs.
Since a few months I'm excercising (almost!) daily (cardio/weight split) and didn't have too many problems with motivation. I love playing football and jogging, just the weight lifting can be boring sometimes.
For general motivation I just have a few pictures in my closet showing how I looked back then and that's enough to keep me motivated. I do have the usual junk days once in a while though with drinking and other bad stuff. But generally it makes me wanna throw up, when I think about the ingredients of some 'food'. I'm avoiding any pre made meals/food 99% of the time and I feel great!
After all this diet is basically a combination of low carb (just for dinner though) and changing your eating habbits drastically (and I'm 100% sure that I won't fall back into my old pattern).
And still it's about your calorie in-out-ratio. But by changing your diet and especially thinking about the stuff you put into your body, you probably won't have too much most of the times.
If you allow yourself an icecream on that day, np.
If you use that day to stuff your face with anything you find (junkfood, icecream, beers,...), good luck.
If you're not heavily overweight you could even go for 2 cheat days. But in the end you should have knowledge about the food you eat and what it might do to your body. Icecream, candy or other sugary stuff doesn't kill you, not at all.
It's the general eating habits over months and years that make people fat. The dose makes the poison :-P
Also if you're avoiding this sugary junk, you'll be surprised how sweet normal stuff (like apples, bananas etc) becomes. Your taste buds will adjust and you might not even like your regular candy bar or icecream anymore just because it's WAY too sweet. Same applies to fast food and other pre made stuff.
go on...
I was around 176 kgs when I changed my eating habits from one day to the other, if that was the question. :-O
The sport isn't helping too much, atleast it's totally overrated. I would say 90% of your weight (loss) is determined on your plate!
Probably I would have lost around the same amount without any sports, but I'm in a much better shape in general. It's not all about the weight and the numbers but about how you feel and your general body condition.
r_ _a_d
and eat lots of it :D
I simply don't eat till I'm full.
I eat till I hate myself.
The feeling you get after a good rest while lifting weights the other day and the guy in the.mirror changing constantly will keep you motivated.
-36 kg in 6 months here, NP
now living like a king and gaining mass(fat) like a champion np
