fps problems

hey

i cant seem to even get 76 fps stable

please help

specs:

CPU: AMD Athlon(tm) II X4 640 Processor (4 CPUs), ~3.0GHz
Graphics: ATI Radeon HD 5500 Series
Memory: 2048MB RAM
O/S: Windows 7

well its ET so even onboard would do.
but he does have a point. GFX is the most expensive part of a system and decent ones start at around 180€

also disable multithreading for ET as it hates multi-core processors

did u "Tweak" Ur gfx in ur controle pannel (more brightnes,contrass,superdupergood quality)

try high performance in gfx drivers

its coz of ati cards. switched from a NVIDEA 8600gt to a ati radeon 5850 or smthing and it went from 125 stable to fucking annoying laggspikes and unstable fps.

No, it's an issue with all newer gfx cards, shit has to do with OpenGL

ET uses CPU.And hardy,112FPS with 6870HD.
Sometimes the lot pk3-s buffer the engine load system,which effects FPS.
You could try InterFaces config,gives a stable high five.
If didn't work,close CPU eaters(programs what is not needed for playing)
In my old laptop,it has 512mb RAM,running ET WITH SLAC,TS3 gives 25FPS,without 120FPS,problem officer?

set r_primitives to "2" instead of 0, should give you a little fps boost when using ATI graphic cards... hope it helps, cheers
