New display for pc

My old monitor is making scary buzz sounds, so i want to buy a new one, but i don't know what to buy? I currently have AL2216W.

what matters is:
22" or 24", doesn't matter but it should have hd resolution.
Price range: 170€ max.

I barely play so it doesn't need to be _pro gaming display_ , it's enough that it's good. ^_^

LG FLATRON E2260 which is a nice screen but really needs to have a higher refresh rate (HDMI and DVI are capped at 60hz which is gai)
Dell UltraSharp U2311H, has IPS panel for better colors and viewing angle.
Around 180 euro here.

Smaller one is the U2211H

Good enough for gaming, great for movies ,photos, and general use.
what he said, get PV or IPS, UltraSharp is best option overall but little above your pricerange. Closer to your pricerange is samsung synmaster f2380 - its PVA so not quite as sharp, colour accurate, and responsive as ultrasharp but better black ratio and still damn fine (and difference is virtually unnoticeable).

Or just be a faggot and get a TN monitor like all the tardos here.

yea that sums it up pretty good.
We still need ips panels with 120Hz, that would be great.

Ur argument is invalid :/ getting a TN panel for gaming is not retarded. Getting an IPS panel for gaming is way more retarded. Aswell, getting a TN panel for movies and image editing would be stupid. Every kind has its cons and pros, and you won't probably find any IPS panel with less than 0.5 ghosting frames and 120 hz.

Syncmaster F2380 = 8 ms (ROFL) 0,95 ghosting frames http://www.digitalversus.com/samsung-syncmaster-f2380-p357_6954_36.html

Maybe PV is a little slow for fps gaming though I never noticed problems but IPS is highly responsive and enough for any game, the ghosting issue is unnoticeable. I guess its a question of having great picture quality (also noticeable on games) and having some ghosting in a couple of COD5 explosion cut scenes that you won't humanly notice, or having a TN with a homosexual picture quality.

Oh come on...quality isnt THAT bad on latest TN monitors :D

you know what you are right :D

LG W2363D
LGW2363D

- FullHD
- 120 Hz (you'll come buckets if you're used to 60 Hz, believe me)
- 3D (not that big of a deal, but still..)
i was about to suggest this after recently buying a new monitor

although i didn't buy this model, i'd say it's the best suggestion for the OP's requirements

- bad viewing angle
- bad colors, because TN panel is just... shit
- no tilt option, and you can't put it higher.
- price is more around 200

+ 120Hz
+ 3D

So overall, i don't think this is the right option. Unless he is die-hard gamer, because than 120Hz > all ofcourse.

I don't get why there is no good IPS panel with 120Hz that would be so awesome.
Good colors and 120Hz, hopefully it will come.

Also, the one u mentioned(Dell U2311H) is definitely NOT for gaming, with a dissapointing responsiveness of 8 ms and 0,7 ghosting frames. Just deal with it, IPS and PVA panels are not smooth enough if you are searching a gaming monitor. http://www.digitalversus.com/dell-u2311h-p357_8953_88.html

-Viewing angles, couldnt care less rly :/ it's not like ure lying on the floor. This isn't an advantage for everyone, most have a viewing angle of 170º which is almost the whole area from each side of the room, so unless u're on a different height, you won't suffer from this issue.
-Bad colors. What? Better say 'worse colors than IPS', but nowadays there are TN monitors with more than decent colors contrast, many of them also can be set through its menu to get better colors.
-IPS aren't 120 Hz cuz they simply aren't for gaming, responsiveness isn't a goal for this kind of panels, but the color quality which is way better than the TN one.

I honestly think u never had a good TN panel nor tested one. A GOOD one. If u ever can test an Acer GD245HQ ( http://www.digitalversus.com/acer-gd245hq-p357_7352_38.html ) or an Alienware OptX AW2310 ( http://www.digitalversus.com/alienware-optx-aw2310-p357_9084_470.html ) just check how different it is.
