Friendly vs LA Galaxy, Balotelli gets clear in front of goal, stops and does a random spinmovie and it goes wide. Dzeko goes "WTF" and Mancini takes him off. Commentators go crazy saying it's disrespectful. In the halftime show they call it "disrespectful to LA Galaxy, disrespectful to MLS, disrespectful to america, disrespectful to the world.."

I mean really... really? :D
people are totally overreacting imo.. he might've thought he was offside or some shit. That was my first thought anyways, I mean he just randomly stops and casually spins around and rolls it out of play. Doesn't really look like a legit attempt at all.

What do you think? Is Balotelli a total legend or a twat? Discuss.

The problem with it is that he has already a bad reputation with his attitude - the act itself was not that bad but it is on top of things he has done in the past.

He did sort of seem to think he was offside though and then just shrugged it off - public humiliation from Mancini is not the way to go on such a young talent, even if he has got attitude problem.

according to a comment on a swedish website, a guy was watching a spanish broadcast of it and on that feed you could clearly hear the conversation between Mancini and Balotelli, apparantly Balotelli was saying he thought he heard a whistle.. either way I think Mancini could've just waited until halftime and get an explanation from Balotelli. He made a big thing over something fairly minor tbh and drew too much attention. But who knows what's best with Balotelli :d

It was obvious he was taking it seriously, watching it again his run was real not half hearted (like Robinho use to always do) he just seemed to give up on the shot, and looked across to the linesman when Dzeko seemed to be like "WTF?" :D

Mancini doesn't seem to have the best man management, and that could be a real issue with players like Adebayor, Tevez and Balotelli in his team ;)

please it is not even close to what balotelli did. zidane was chipping the keeper and he mishit a bit. It was not showboating and disgracing the oppoenents like balotelli did it on purpose in this friendly match.

yea, now when I think about it his playstyle is pretty 'casual'. Could probably have been a legit attempt, still people are taking things way too seriously imo :p

yea well i think hes a cool player, i mean hes so strong in terms of strength, speed ball control w/e cool player to watch. but he has a bit of an arrogant additude whitch isnt likeable at all:p

edit: penalty serie was really cool indeed, that goal keeper from MC was a hero:P

2. I can't understand people that say it was disrespectful. Just like the pass with the back ronaldo did against atletico madrid, people said that too. It's normal to do such things when you're confident, and it even gives you more confidence if you don't fail.
