CPU Cooler Recomendation

Hallo, since the cpu fan wich intel delivered with my i7-2600 sucks hard i'm in need of a new one. needs to fit on a LGA Socket 1155

I'm currently looking abit into arctic coolers cuz they got me recommended, but im not sure whether it fits or not since the dutch site only mentions Socket 1156 as compatible but the arctic site itself also mentions Socket 1155

http://www.arctic.ac/en/p/cooling/cpu/365/freezer-13-pro.html?c=2181

Other suggestions are welcome too, as long as they fit and that theyre in the same pricerange ~30€

P.S. btw how much thermal paste is there supposed to go on the cpu?

Bang for the buck: Scythe Mugen II

Alternatives: Prolimatech Megahalem, Venomous X, ...
Since when is Doutzen Kroes random =D?
Corsair H60.
Oh also dont need to be to hard to install
'P.S. btw how much thermal paste is there supposed to go on the cpu?'

Common one to follow is 'about a pea size in the centre of the CPU', I would say a bit less than that, but put a small ball in centre of CPU, not a lot at all
New coolers these days tend to come with thermal paste all ready applied, well mine did any way :)

Tends to be cheap shit

If the manufacturer site says it fits, then it fits.
I bought Freezer XTREME Rev. 2 myself. Haven't installed it yet though, because the packaging lacked some parts due to an error on the retailer's side and I had to mail it back to them to get it replaced.
ye id say so too, but degrees keep hovering around 80 xD

Not even the boxed cooler should be *that* bad, unless it's broken somehow.

i thought the same, i have the problem that everest doesn't recognize my motherboard or something, also some update driver site said it didnt recognize my bios and that i needed to update my bios, so so i did, but theres no change at all, might that be somehow related to the heat problem?
Parent
get coretemp. http://www.alcpu.com/CoreTemp/ in combination with http://www.cpuid.com/softwares/hwmonitor.html
And 80 is not good. Check your mounting, i have worked with stock cooler for i5 2500 and they aren't that bad.

About thermal paste, it always works to put a rice shaped amount in the middle. But not much. Or follow this way http://www.arcticsilver.com/pdf/appmeth/int/vl/intel_app_method_vertical_line_v1.1.pdf

sec ill try the other two first :)

looks good did you stress it with something?
max is 80c.
Parent
Parent
OCCT CPU test of
prime95 en dan blend test gaat je CPU 100% en kan je temps zien.

Noctua NH-U12P SE2
In your pricerange: Scythe Mugen 2/3 (whichever is cheaper). You can get stronger coolers, but they're almost twice as expensive. Not worth it imo
just search google "cooler benchmark" or something, and look for a perfect one. this can be "not so easy way", but surely you found more info than here.
socket 1556 and 1155 both have the same mounting holes.
So what fits on 1556 will fit on 1155 and vice versa.

Mugen 2/3 is the best choice like others stated.
I got a Corsair H50 for my Q6600, best temps I've seen on it running @ 3.2GHz, rest of my system is to weak (I'm looking at you RAM) to go any higher stable lol
Scythe Mugen Rev B
get zalman CNPS 9900 Max :) its a good little cooler or get some noctua one
i got zalman CNPS10X Extreme-koeler
