Logitech G400

So Logitech published new mouse called G400 some time ago.

I am planning to buy it because it is upgraded version of MX518, same shape, same buttons but with 3600dpi (1800 old) and 1000hz polling rate (old 125 default 500 hz overclocked).

So anyone have any experience with the mouse to tell how big is the difference between this and MX518 and its pros and cons?

mx518 v3 nothing special.

with the g500 u can set ur dpi up to 5700 :o
Thats why it is more expensive:P

They quitted making MX518 and G5 mouses anyway.

g400 is the same mouse like mx518. they overworked some details and annouce it as a new mouse to make more ca$h :D

Who the fuck needs a DPI that high?
Parent
if u want to play with a sens of 0,000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000001 then u need this sick dpi :o

ye but its a laser mouse, heavy, bad shape (too big for normal hands), the laser is not in the middle of the mouse, it's heavier in front comparing to the "back" of the mouse.. etc etc... i have 2 G500 and i hate them.
Parent
exactly! I see you got some clue concerning the G500 ; )
Parent
I am asking about G400 not G500....
Parent
so what am I to say if I hadn't had the G400 myself? He was talking about the G500, so am I.
Parent
If you want my opinion my mx518 isnt as powerful as g400 but I wouldn't forget it for another mouse. <3
I have a g400, it's a good mouse.
beside the new rate and dpi,the mouse is still glosy like the old version ?

Feels pretty much the same as the mx518 (to hold it I mean).

Just buy it and try it out. You can return it to the store and get your money back if you don't like it. And if not, then either the store or your country sucks.
Parent
well idd country suck, but i can always go into the store and try one :) no need to give 50e for nothing.was thinking if the grip is near the one xai has (using it atm) but will try one.
thnx for the info
Parent
lol? :o

It costs like 35€ here and we have 15 days to try it or swap with another one or money!
Parent
hehe with that amount all i can get here is 3.0,1.1,mx518 and some raptors i guess.
as for the 15 days tryout :)) could get it back only if it has something broken and is thir foult :)
Parent
oO

not in Polska kurwa : /
Parent
I was wrong tho.. 37€ here :D http://www.kuantokusta.pt/1/166975/Logitech-G400-Optical-Gaming-Mouse?kk_s=kk1ps

And as i said, we have 15 days as a test.. if it doesn't work properly we can just go to the shop and get a new one without use the warranty (after 15 days, warranty only for broken thing)... or we can just "trade" with a different thing.. and sometimes get the money back (although most companies are total bitchs and give a "value check" to force us to buy a different thing in their own stores)
Parent
It should feel the same because they have not changed shape of the ways in no way.
The surface is little different isn't it?
Parent
That's what I meant with feels the same to hold it. The shape is the same for years and years, but for instance the surface of the mx500 feels different than the G5 or mx518. I like the surface of the mx500 more btw. I might just open up the g400, take it's inner workings and put it in the mx500 housing. The mx510, 518 and g400 have a more slippery surface than the mx500 did.
Parent
mx518 is probably one of the best mice out there..
if the g400 has:

optical sensor
same shape and buttons as mx518
only difference to mx518 is higher DPI

i'd say you can go for it
higher polling rate and programable macro buttons.
Parent
had mx518 (2x) before and switched to g500.

would not change back
We are talking about g400:D
Parent
Thought that it might interest you since I had mx518 (which I loved) too.

You can do with my information what you want :)
Parent
I thought that 400dpi were far enough for ET?
It is, the good thing about the g400 is -1000 Hz and it's not fugly
Parent
no it's not nabs, I need +500 dpi

Parent
depends on your ingame resolution width - the higher it is, the higher dpi you need to remove pixel-skipping.
most people play with something low or simply with a small screen, so 400 is enough for them
Parent
1920*1080 and 400 dpi here
Parent
its really good mouse.
3600 dpi are useless anyway
Yea but it has 1000hz polling rate as well:)
Parent
buy a roccat kone[+] and you never want to use another mouse in your whole life time.
