I've asked this before but I'm just going to ask it again, perhaps someone will actually give a surprising answer!

So basically I'm just looking for some singleplayer games, I don't care what genre they are or what year they are from or whatever, I only want them to be interesting. I mean those kind of games you start playing, and you want to play it out until the end right away.

Kristen Bell : Veronica Mars ( an awesome show ), and a couple of B-movies the last couple of years like Forgetting Sarah Marshall, In Rome, Couples Retreat, and I think she also does the voice of Gossip Girl though I'm not sure since I never actually watched that show.

I'm currently playing Stalker Shadow of Chernobyl with AMK Mod on Hard-Mode. It's a really cool modded version of vanilla stalker. Recommend it.

only bad thing is this game seems to work bad with a optical / laser mouse ( i guess its the high Hz the game cant handle, u can play with it but game goes a bit slower when moving the mouse :P ) so i playing it with ballmouse :D

the map spanish something something (had a lot of hills)

Had my cannons & gunmen lined up like a boss... nothing could withstand my canyon of death (entrance of hills were stocked up with dozens of forts :d)

Can't really remember the mouse issue, either I played it with a ball mouse or I didn't have any problems with it

I'm at 8 now (Crown of Swords ) and I've ordered up to the 14th book ( the last one, don't know if it's the 15th or 16th is coming out this or the next year ). They are fucking awesome, I man-love you for telling me about those books, I'm 100 % hooked.

And I hate Noon, telling people I started crying because he was about to kick my ass at cc7 while all he did was .. buy me a beer. Grumbl

I really get annoyed by people remembering me as one of those "Edit Retards", as I barely said anything ingame or on crossfire ever. Vila, Mesqi, Acid and Lio used to flame shitloads on crossfire and people were mad at me ..

Oh sure I did flame some people, but nothing to actually hold a grudge over I think, quite sad some people still hold it.

Is the game story-heavy? Or can I just start with 2 or 3 or whichever one is best.

Waarom ben ik nu weer n hoer :[ En qua verhaal maakt t niet superveel uit, het wordt ook allemaal uitgelegd in t spel :) Als je m voor de PC haalt/download zou ik wel met gamepad spelen, stukken fijner.

The story is quite amazing for a video game.

For me Mass Effect was so fucking awesome just because of the story. You should really play that.

If you never played AC 2 or ME 1/2, you really should! Both are on my list of best modern games. Both games have a brilliant and immersive story but can be played without having played its predecessor :)

Paradox Interactive have some good grand strategy games - Europa Universalis III (15th - 18th century), Victoria II (industrial revolution) and Hearts of Iron III (World War II). Even their highly polished predecessors are infinitely playable.

Have you played Heart of Iron yourself? It looks interesting enough to give a try, but with these kind of games they almost always are a letdown.

I've played all three of them (and their predecessors). The learning curve in each of them is quite steep, but if you take the time to get the hang of them they provide a lot more entertainment than any other SP games I can think of. I'd recommend starting with Europa Universalis III or Victoria 2 first, as Hearts of Iron III has a particularly difficult learning curve. Another thing to bear in mind is that the games are for the most part very realistic, so if you had hoped on picking Belgium and trying to put a stop to the Third Reich then it's just not going to happen!
