le smartphone

So I signed up for this test program and gonna get HUAWEI IDEOS U8500 for free to test for 14 days. Gonna be my first smartphone I will actually use for longer than 5 minutes, since I'm kinda used to my old phones that were actually made for making calls and texting (using Nokias 6310i and 6230i atm), but I guess I have to accept damn smartphones gonna be everywhere.

So here's le question:does anyone know shit about this huawei (good/bad/throw it away?) and which smartphone should I get in the near future :x

what the hell is a huawei...

There are a few new and exciting companies coming out with smart phones, Apple, Samsung, Blackberry, HTC - they're a little crazy but you might wanna give them a shot

theyre more in the "dongle" and mobile broadband equipment market. i wasnt aware they had started making mobile phones though.... especially since their modems are poop, this doesnt bode well for the phones really....

theres much better manufacturers on the market though, thats all i was saying :)

they gave you a phone to test that been out for 10 months ? couldnt they give you a new phone? :P this phone youre getting was released in october 2010 :<

I had this Chinese "Barcelon Plus x2 something", basically iPhone copy with bad quality. Nothing worked as it should, but it was good value for the ~80 dollars it cost :) Too bad the charger broke and you can't get a new one anywhere.

Btw, has any of you had a TV (analog & digital ofc ofc) at your phone? It had and it worked :) Rest was useless though.

EDIT: Wouldnt spend over 100€ to a phone, got no need for those + they always get lost or broken.

I've got the Huawei u8120 (vodafone 845 here) decent phone for the price, shit processor so things can be a little slow compared to some overpriced nerdphones like the htc desire and shit. Only bought it because it was cheap, able to add decent roms on it (like jailbreaking, customising a lot of stuff) and it does everything I need from all the latest apps, wifi, skype etc.

had some time a u120s,not a smartphone, but was pretty ok.i rember it had a jack 3.5 and a miniusb

Got a galaxy S, smartphones are cool, but in my opinion the battery last waaay to few
