what happend in the last years? changing the format from 6on6 to 5on5 and disable pb and using slac.... the online tournaments wasn't larger then last tournament wich was played with pb and in 6on6. oh there was 2 new lans aef and sage but aef was one time wonder and sage don't know if there will be one more. esl kicked et out of the ems cause of inactivity in the ladders, to push the 3on3 ladder will not help to get et back to the ems or we change the format to 3on3.
i think there more things which i could list but don't wanna think so long.
the way that et would be more popular is that everyone is add et to his steam account and play it via steam. maybe if they see how much time a lot guy spent in playing et via steam maybe they would add it as freeload in their store.
the problem is for the guys who play et on a "serious" level, which multigaming organisation would support et if there nothing to win... in the online competition u get nothing cause who want to pay for the prizes? would u pay it from ur own private money?
theres still some mgc supporting teams, been made couple of topics with showing that and for the last SAGE lan with showing the support to some teams and im sure that it got potencial at future as well + theres alot of other players who re playing just like that daily and for fun, so u cant say that serious ppl is whole et scene here.
I know theres alot of stuffs which moved out of et as for EMS, AEF and other things, but im sure that some projects can be worked at if ppl show interest at it and with a little of effort everything can be done :)
Im sure that ET wont die anytime soon, as u could see plenty of other games which came out last couple of years has died already long time ago and et as being old as it is , is going perfect job.
that's normal that pb is off at lan cause who is so dumb and go to a lan and starts cheating? .... but there is noone who can clearly say what pb did that pb lags that we have to turn off pb for online competition.
You and your buddies made 3vs3 ladder active but it's kinda boring to watch. Play 5vs5 on ETTV against interesting teams and it'll bring more viewers with a new fresh breath to ET this summer since there's no real competition on 5vs5 format except ESL.
