In the few texts I read this morning, everybody miss 6o6. Nobody likes the new way to play and everyone only talk about it but there's no act... Well, okay, there's a bunch of guys who decided for you, ET is dead etc etc...
Dude, just think about it:
It's holliday, everybody is on vacation.
Because you're telling ET is dead, nobody wants to come back.
Guys who played rtcw & ET for few years quit? OMG, no, they just can't!
You're bored to play 5o5?
Ok, let's play 6o6.
How? There're few things you can do:
Ask to your opponnents if they are agree to play 6o6 instead of 5o5 for cups, cb ladder & co.
And of course admins should know, admins should know the better way will be bringing back 6o6 on every rules.
You can also be motivated to realize urtier project or create a one day cup with a few teams.

Then it will bring more activity to ESL, CB will keep their 5o5 ladder for the offline competition which could only fit with the 5o5 format.
This is the only good solution I can see.
And maybe if there is more activity on ESL ladders, ET will do a come back in the EMS?
ET is meant to be played in 6on6, period.
If you guys wanna play 5on5 go back to CS or COD.
edit: so the answer, 5on5 is for dumb players :)
