basically:

use mod_rewrite to get good "looking" .html links.
get a lot of back links from other sites
create a sitemap.xml and add it to google/yahoo

Since you seem to know alot bout this stuff, is there anyway to prevent your site from being found by search engines

also this could propably help:

create a robots.txt in the root folder and disallow everything u dont want to be listed in google.

maybe you could make an index.html that uses some redirection which the google bot doesnt like.
