ET problem need some help

hi, today I tried to instal ET again using the ET PACK 2011
But I can't launch the game because of the following error:
Couldn't open GL subsystem :(
I already checked my graphic dard's drivers.
I'm on window 7 (64 bit)

Can someone plz help me.

which graphiccard do you use? try installing the latest graphicdrivers...

had the same problem like 3 years ago...but cant remember how to solve it ;D

I just started the game and got an error saying couldn't open GL subsystem.

then maybe its because of 3D driver.

try to open another game where are used 3D models etc.. just 3D game.

i switched computer (playing always with my cfg) several times

that happened alot

i dicovered the fault cvars by accident(trying old cfgs of my own)
and then i noticed one or two r_ cvar was different and that was it

u can solve it by trying someone elses cfg that as same graphic card as u
nvidia?

mobile cards are by far the dickest, starting by their drivers

-try to find someone with same card try their cfg
-see if it works
-if yes compare with ur cfg
-solve it

Is it not because the r_resolution settings you set for the game are too "high" for the screen ? I mean if you set r_customwidth Over9000 and r_customweight Over9000, it won't launch the game because the values are too high

try a lower r_mode, also you could delete the Intro of ET (i had same problem and it got solved after deleting the intro and lowering the startresolution in your autoexec. i have nowadays the defaultcfg for autoexec and load my cfg separated, so i don't have trouble with this anymroe :o)

Yes, change the r_mode too, I might have mixed the r_customblabla and r_mod as the reason of your bug. Also, deleting the intro : delete the file in the /video folder named etintro.roq

you could try to rename your autoexec, and then type ingame /exec etconfig and then /writeconfig autoexec and then you have a autoexec which should be ok, you only have to load ur cfg ingame then & BÄM, it could work
