No, but its one of the most played games. Because people think its FUN and not realistic.

Sucks when games are ruined by obvious and ezmode boss fights. Deus Ex HR was pretty guilty of this, always tonnes of weapons and items and empty corridors and then BLAM boss fight, who could've expected that. Also you can beat all the bosses the same way, +back and throw a few grenades. The story kept it strong though.

Also there are still some good games that come out that aren't gimped difficulty wise and provide a lot of fun. Most recently I played Limbo on the PC, it's tiny (similar in filesize to original Quake), has a refreshing art direction and takes a shit on you at every few minutes while throwing some pretty fun puzzles your way.

Although yeah, multi player FPS games are generally getting easier and easier.
