Journals
Good afternoon, my good people of crossfire.
I hope that you have had a great weekend thus far, and that you are experiencing the same beautiful weather that I am here.
I spent my Friday until late Saturday in York, where I had a great time and had some great food.
I am writing this journal today not about , but instead, I am writing about travelling and mainly cities on an international basis and ask you this simple question:
What are your top three cities?
If you would like, you can include reasons why they are your favourite.
For me:
1. Amsterdam
Modern society at a pleasurable place. Clean, a high spirit of academia, and a large number of great activities. One of my most memorable experiences was sitting on the roof of an Albert Heijn where they had made a grass hill chatting away with friends. I have also been here more than other places, with laid back people such as Overboost and Wesbo who are not fussed about strolling around for a few hours, or catching a drink at a canal side bar.
2. Florence
Florence for me was promised to be beautiful and exciting with lots to see, and lots to experience - and it was just that. Great fashion, beautiful city, fantastic example of Italian culture, and some of the finest architecture and art i've ever experienced.
3. Krakow
Krakow was a shock for me, we travelled there on a train that broke down twice (granted, it was a Czech train from Prague) and we arrived a city that was very central and easy to navigate around in scorching weather, eating fantastic cheap food (oh the joys of using the £) and very pretty girls left right and centre. Awesome night life here, too.
Other notable cities that I need to spend more time in:
Vienna
Rome
Venice
Brussels
Ljubljana
Prague
Cairo
Glasgow
Zagreb
Jealous of Meez seeing the screening of their new film today. Hope he has fun.

Any recommendations?
Had only around 4 hours there whilst waiting for my friends to arrive from Paris.
Italian fashion was my favourite I suppose!
e: buite noxx en carré en die shit meegerekend dan
Lille was also amazing.
However, my friends had to sleep in the train station in Marseille where they were told that they 'should not sleep' by a police officer because their goods may be stolen if they did, and it had high drug activity.
dubai

Groningen
Utrecht
Haarlem
Zwolle

And sadly, I have to agree with LeRetard, Marseille is a Nice city.
(On which note, Nice is pretty nice too.)
I study there and i'm still impressed when i see the large number of tourists coming to our capital. I mean, except some awesome pubs and student parties, there is nothing that deserve more than a city trip..
The weather that day was overcast and I got off at the smaller station (zuid maybe?) and after walking for around 1 hour and 45 minutes I decided to call it a day and go back at some other time. Some of the stuff I saw there seemed interesting, but I am sure that I'd like it there too.
Well.. the city center is pretty interesting. You can see the Grand-Place, the Manneken Pis, The Atomium (but you have to take the metro, watch out for illegal foreigners, as Vikodin said :D) but i agree with you: this city really sucks.
Actually, tourism sucks in Belgium..
I will make sure that I check them out but I don't think I'd be staying there for long, and as for overcast, I live in where it is mostly overcast. However today is really sunny! :)
I really enjoyed my stay in Nimes & Strasbourg (even if there is too many tourists..) but my favorite one was in Germany (Berlin dude, Berlin!)
Dublin
Prague
Haven't rly been to many countries but I'd like to visit Barcelona, Rome, Venice, Amsterdam, Tokyo, Bangkok, Paris, Vienna, London, Berlin etc. :p
no reasons needed.
Completely forgot Zagreb in the list too, need to go when it's not summer season though, that's for sure.
though my two favourite croatian cities besides zagreb are probably unknown to anyone outside croatia, Varazdin and Virovitica, architectonically beautiful
nuff said
St.Petersburg
For myself i liked berlin alot, but mainly due to the amazing techno parties! (<3 Weekend club)
Hong Kong For business, technology, looks of the city itself, far more impressive than New York or Tokyo. 10 years ahead of New York and London.
Santiago (Chile) For Geography and Culture. Chile is geographically the best looking country in the world
but also i spend rly nice time in Vienna.

And this cunt decided to check out the girl I liked whilst eating an ice cream.
Singapore: nice, clean city
Venice: great atmosphere & architecture + skyline, - just too many tourists
Las Vegas: fantastic atmosphere, vibrant
Bruges: great architecture, cozy, a 'real' historical city where u feel your in the 1800's, great at night
San Francisco: a 'special' city, nice landscape
but from my memories, I loved to go on the beach when I was @ Antalya (turkey), I was much younger but still
+ Lille, Paris
I'll start to travel in December or something, I don't know exactly where but I have some ideas
