Haven't seen much of 2011, but this certainly is one of the best.

Havent really seen a lot of 2011 movies. From the ones i've seen, most have been average/mediocre. Think X-men, kungfu panda 2 and the lincoln lawyer were some of the better ones, but nothing special. Haven't seen any movie this year that really impressed me. (recommendations?)

you'll get disappoint. its entertaining but nowhere near a good movie. the plot somehow reminded me of some crime(?) movie but I cant remember which one, help me out plz

why? i like a lot of different films which aint rly similar in any aspect and im pretty sure that i will like most of the films you woukld recommend. i knew green lantern from the past, when it was just a comic, so it was nice to see it again ;)

well I knew the green lantern from the comic as well ;) I think the majority of everyone would or should know that if they are going to watch it, haha. personally I couldn't stand the fact that it was Ryan Reynolds playing the part, it just looked very odd for me.

I really dunno if its good and what to expect.

FOr example the Kick-Ass wasnt serious too, but it was very qualitativ and entertaining.

Maybe ur right and i should try it :-)

TransformersIII in 3D was really nice to watch because of special effects and stuff.
The Other Guys and Kill The Boss because i had good laughs in both movies.

It was one of my favorite movies when I was a kid, I don't really remember much of it, but I know that it has some funny moments, and also a good story. I think there's actually two parts of it, one is called Three Musketeers and the other is Four Musketeers.

a couple of recent films that were amazing but unfortunately never got a wide screening:

The Guard, comedy-thriller etc, brendan gleeson kills it (if you liked In Bruge... etc)
Submarine, more of a rom com but it has some of the best directing I've ever seen
Sigur Rós presents Inni, (only if you're a fan of sigur rós)

2011 has been a shitty year for popular film, sequels after rehashes after comic book adaptation... barely anything new or original
