Btw, that maths question you gave me, you missed out some important piece of information, my guess is that the equation had equal roots, but it could have been something else.

13m^2 - 8m - 5 = 0
(13m + 5)(m - 1)
m = 1 or -5/13
Would be the answer if you'd included the fact that the equation was defined for equal roots.
