You're totally a nerd for noticing grammar mistakes in a joke that's based on different number bases.
Real engineers can't spell!
Not all engineers are illiterate, there's a difference between illegible handwriting and lack of vocabulary/grammar etc.
explain this wizardry to me please.
OCT is short for octal, the base-8 number system with numbers 0-7. "31" in that system would be three eights and one one, which equals 25 (two tens and five ones) in the DECimal system (base-10), the one we commonly use.
Sine I'm a complete noob in math and physics does this belong the binary system stuff?
binary system is just another way of representing numbers, just like oct/dec/hex. Binary system is highly efficient in computers because of the nature of our computing technology. Current technology cant work with more than 2 states, thats why is everything stored in binaries (ones and zeros - two states). Hopefully, it will change in future when quantum computers become a reality (but, this future is kinda far away).
and now tell me what this has to do with being an engineer in what not :P
When you're an engineer, you're probably used to throwing number systems around. For example, a whole lot of things are a lot more convenient to write using the hexadecimal system.
hmmm well, those two systems are somewhat basics in IT anyway no? that's what made me curious why on earth engineer, but other than that it was pretty clear, thanks anyway^^
Yeah, that's true, but knowing they exist are NOT the same as using them on a daily basis
mist sä tiedät tämmöst settii? ei meille lukios puhuttu mitää tommosta
and you call goku a nerd
That's the translation of Goku :DDD
Tu insinues que je ne sais pas lire? :(
Hahaha débile vas! :)
You are also mad because of QL sorry :)
