best speech ever. i still listen to it every month or so. And tbh, what he said in 1940, still counts for today, more than ever too
Fuck that stupid music.
Great text anyway, as expected
What do you mean with stupid music?

Overused or Zimmer is a clown?

None. I mean this music does not fit here. Chaplin made it without any music because he did not need any to move people and have his message spread. A timeless and universal message like this one does not need any music. In this case, this song is seen as the proof that the content itself isn't strong enough to move the audience, which is OBVIOUSLY wrong. At the end of the video, the music is even louder than the discourse itself and you barely can hear it. Wtf does it mean, I'm here to listen to a speech, not to a heart-rending music. If the guy wants to make a montage with this music and photos of starving African kids, let him do so. But let's not mix both.
It's time to take your handkerchief out of your pocket to dry your eyes and get your candle as well and make big waves with your arms like people do in those shitty lives when the singer wants to sing some shitty emotive song of his. Sorry,I'm wandering there :D

This was posted by someone in a motivational speech journal. Loved it ever since =)

One of my favourite movies :)
Wauw, Great!
doubt that a single being can still cause big changes these days. not changes being important for mankind. at least no 'obviously good' changes.
sure it's worth a try and someone has to start, but even masses can in my opinion not have great impact on very important things these days.
and that is for a few reasons:
1. most things in our lifes are being controlled these days
2. those who care do not have the power for change, those who have the power, are not willing and those who have the power and are willing are not capable of changing (because they lack idea on how to change efficiently)

if someone was willing to change something efficiently, for the ultimate good, he'd imo have to force it. which sure as hell is not appreciated by most
