Not saying that piracy is ok, but bleh, we all know there is something wrong at the current situation.

Last time I bought something, (it was a CD, "Slipknot - Iowa"), was 2003, I think. When talking about big corporations (bla bla bla, hippie-shit), I have been at movies few time after that.

But I have paid for music & gigs & movies & art several times after that, last time, umm, can't say exact time actually, but I buy records and go to gigs quite often + pay for music that I am listening (spotify-account, yeye, artists got shit, but at least I am trying!). I get some kind of a satisfaction for giving money straight to bands and artists, got lots of random albums, t-shirts and other stuff that I have no use for, but just for the support and the moment.

When have you paid for music or movie (well, videos, performances and what not, why not) last time? And if not, why? And if not, you poor sucker cheapskate. Do it! At least sometimes. If you feel like it.

EDIT: Oh right, F1 is about to start soon. GL to Finland Räikkönen, Iceman is back bitches! Prepare yourself for excessive journal edit if he rises up. And shit if not :(

Last 2 CDs I bought were: Rage Against the Machine - Evil Empire and Rage Against the Machine - Live at The Grand Olympic Auditoruim.

Wanted to buy some Label merch but couldn't find any.

I am planing to buy some old vinyls when I get some money tho.
missed Iceman :(

last CD's i bought was Darude(Before the Storm) & Petri Nygård(Mun levy!), i guess its been a while
The last thing I paid for that goes in that direction is Louis CK's live show, because the way he did it is what I hope everyone will do from now on, so I wanted to make sure his way is successful.
Last CD I bought? I have no idea, usually some band demos when I go to a gig if they don't have any 7" (used to collect hardcore/punk vinyl).
I'm not one for buying CDs and stuff from the likes of iTunes, if anything I'll go to the gig, buy a record or t-shirt etc and support them that way. Friend used to put on gigs here so helped make the posters/flyers and hand them out to try get more people in to support.

Last movie? Went to the cinema a few weeks ago to watch The vow :3

Oh, and used to buy image: tumblr_lxmiwosRDB1r4xqkw :)

never paid for music. never will.
I've got a Deezer premium account and I sometimes go to gigs. I don't buy CDs though, it's fucking obsolete.
Music majors are richer than ever but keep on whining about people downloading illegaly which pisses me off. I wish they could find another economic model instead of acting like outdated pricks. And don't tell me artists are loosing money, it's the contrary. Lady Gaga and all that kind of shitty music makers are winning millions and millions every month!
We should not help these ones but the bands who are trying to break through by investing few euros on mymajorcompany.com for instance.
I wont buy anything from big band becous they allready have enough money. But if we are talking about small ones i consider of buying it.
Well .. i when i go out during the weekend i support the artist by paying entrance fee, which in amsterdam are quite steep for a nice party (up to 20 at the door). Festivals are often in the range of 20-60 euro. Seeing as im a poort student i cant afford to, besides paying the door prices, also buy albums. Last thing i bought was because it was a special album to me..

Detroit Techno Music it was called i think..
going to see cunninlynguists and tonedeff on 31st
last album i bought was few weeks ago five finger death punch - american capitalist if memory serves me right
cunninlynguists! awesome hf there :)

my mom bought me an eminem cd when i was a kid, shit got fuckdup from there
Last CD Icicle - Under the Ice

Last movie - no idea prolly LOTR :D

I usually buy music if I like it, no mainstream stuff tho
don't think I ever bought album on my own, mostly getting stuff for birthday and shit

paid for one Iron Maiden gig from own money though
i stopped illegal downloading like one year ago, because i think, even if music artists produce rather shit nowadays, i still think they deserve credit just for trying to create something good (edit: ofc only artists i really like listening to...not some gay mainstream shit).

same about games. and i only really BUY games which i want to "add to my collection" and which i really looked forward to, like battlefield 3 or mass effect 3.
+1 True part about games is true

Last cd i payed for was wolfenstein 2009
Establishing a "steam" for movies, for easy access and download would reduce piracy substantially.
