Not saying that piracy is ok, but bleh, we all know there is something wrong at the current situation.
Last time I bought something, (it was a CD, "Slipknot - Iowa"), was 2003, I think. When talking about big corporations (bla bla bla, hippie-shit), I have been at movies few time after that.
But I have paid for music & gigs & movies & art several times after that, last time, umm, can't say exact time actually, but I buy records and go to gigs quite often + pay for music that I am listening (spotify-account, yeye, artists got shit, but at least I am trying!). I get some kind of a satisfaction for giving money straight to bands and artists, got lots of random albums, t-shirts and other stuff that I have no use for, but just for the support and the moment.
When have you paid for music or movie (well, videos, performances and what not, why not) last time? And if not, why? And if not, you poor sucker cheapskate. Do it! At least sometimes. If you feel like it.
EDIT: Oh right, F1 is about to start soon. GL to Räikkönen, Iceman is back bitches! Prepare yourself for excessive journal edit if he rises up. And shit if not :(
Go to a gig, buy an album & shirt there, forget the net and stuff. Jej!
Or is he some different guy, some markoolio was making shit euro-dance around 1996 I think. I hope you didn't buy his album...
Wanted to buy some Label merch but couldn't find any.
I am planing to buy some old vinyls when I get some money tho.
last CD's i bought was Darude(Before the Storm) & Petri Nygård(Mun levy!), i guess its been a while
I'm not one for buying CDs and stuff from the likes of iTunes, if anything I'll go to the gig, buy a record or t-shirt etc and support them that way. Friend used to put on gigs here so helped make the posters/flyers and hand them out to try get more people in to support.
Last movie? Went to the cinema a few weeks ago to watch The vow :3
Oh, and used to buy tapes :)
Music majors are richer than ever but keep on whining about people downloading illegaly which pisses me off. I wish they could find another economic model instead of acting like outdated pricks. And don't tell me artists are loosing money, it's the contrary. Lady Gaga and all that kind of shitty music makers are winning millions and millions every month!
We should not help these ones but the bands who are trying to break through by investing few euros on mymajorcompany.com for instance.
Detroit Techno Music it was called i think..
last album i bought was few weeks ago five finger death punch - american capitalist if memory serves me right
Last movie was Drive
LOL WAT A FAG
oh, and whenever I see a cheap cd-collection offer I will buy those. just got my last order yesterday, 8 cds/eps for 15 euros.
Last movie - no idea prolly LOTR :D
I usually buy music if I like it, no mainstream stuff tho
paid for one Iron Maiden gig from own money though
same about games. and i only really BUY games which i want to "add to my collection" and which i really looked forward to, like battlefield 3 or mass effect 3.
