Xvid settings

Since x246 codec won't work @ my pc , im using the Xvid codec for encoding my movies.
I'm using the default settings atm and getting around 60mb for 1 minute
I saw @ the crossfire competition that the most movies are 2 minutes for 60mb,those are also encoded in xvid.

How can I get better compression with xvid , without losing too much quality ?

dno when i run a avi thats coded in x264 it lets my pc crash :(

uinstall all the codecs and than install only klite mega codec pack with only ffdshow and huffy+ xvid 1.2.0 from wichever codec pack you want (from one that klite has). Make sure you uinstalled _every_ codec before you do that. Than you wont have any problems with h264 unless you have less than 2ghz cpu and at least 512mb ram
