New mouse - time to change my g500

Hellou guys,

Was browsing gaming shops on the internet to check what could be new, i am looking for a new mouse, used to play with logitech only, had mx518 g5 g9 and now g500 and it's time to change, i want a new brand, thought about steelseries IKARI.

What's your opinion about this ?

maybe, the mouse i use is not so famous, i think only a few ppl have it, propably under 10 :P

i'd rather pick xai or sensei mate. not the same shape as ikari but way better choice i guess.

uch then dunno :< i was playing with logitechs for years but decided to switch to deathadder. that was the best decision i've made (when it comes to gear). many people complain about razers but hey, i did break 4 mxes in 3 years so could say the same about logitech.

whats the point anyway? sometimes its good to switch and get used to new mouse, takes some time but at least you won't be addicted to 1 shape. i think most of people who recommend logitech are the ones who haven't tried other mouses yet.

ikari has rather big glides.. which is awesome ^.^

I wouldn't pick anything from Razer if I were you.

If you are just going to use 400dpi (I don't see why not unless you've been using 800 with the other mice you've had!!) just buy a Microsoft WMO for 5 Euros or a Mircosoft Intelli 1.1 for 10... Can't go wrong with them at all sensor on them is spot on and work on every surface!

WMO - No side buttons
Intelli 1.1 and IME 3.0 - Mouse 4 and Mouse 5

3.0 is a bit more expensive but still does the job better than 90% of the mice out there for half the price :)

Side buttons are required as I used them all, won't be able to change that actualy :D

The shape is also important to me unless i manage to find something i can get used to.

Was using 800 dpi on my previous mice.

I didn't check roccat products yet, but i fancy steelseries brand products :p

Well I have no idea about steelseries products sorry! The IME is really really sick though, especially if you want side buttons. Cheap (compared to other gaming mice at least) and just nice to use. Google it if you want to see the shape obviously but I'm sure it's the kind of mice you would like.

But if you're going with a steelseries mouse I'm sure you'll find something nice just you'll have to spend quite a lot to get one ;S

i'm planing to spend 50 euros max, so it fits with steelseries average price.

looked a bit on the mouse you advised me and it happens to be the one i am using @ work.

Def not gonna take it as it makes me mad @ work aswell even for basic browsing ^^

Logitech g500 is the best mouse i had so far, also very good mouse to reccomend is razer deathadder but it isnt anything new.

If you like the shape get a g400. Nothing better for the price, you will just end up paying more for something worse.

Personally the mx518/g500 shape is way too big, but if you have big hands its probably the best mouse you can use.

just bought the razer abyssus. i suppose its nice, the scroll button seems delayed when you press it but i dont know if thats only for me or if anyone else has that problem as well.
