Most of the time, everything is in order. I have some folders to put all the stuff in. Especially the downloads folder looks devastating 8[

Pretty handy to have everything structured
On my intern HD's it's a mess like

E:\Incoming_cache (full of encoded files)
E:\Incoming (full of .rar .par2)
D:\Newsgroup_inc (full of encoded files)
D:\Newsgroup_decode (full of .rar .par2)

for some it might be very much to have all the programs, movies etc sorted out but my music is a mess ;( they are under /m/good/artist or /m/misc/artist+random songs and on the misc one I have like 50gb of unsorted music :l

a habit i got into after i deleted 1 years work off my hdd by accident by not knowing what the fuck the file was :(

in C (where windows is) i got like all the applications installed
in D i have all downloaded stuff\installed games\my school stuff

i seriously am in need of a 400GB HDD

everything is sort of organized..
C:\ for progams only
d:\ for everything else, but with folders separating things, like music, downloads, leech etc, and inside those, there are other folders separating things aswell, and so on.

C:\ for windows and main programs

D:\ for gamez and gaming related programs

E:\ for hax and warezz

C:\ All
D:\ Nothing

c: windows
d: downloads
e: games

thats about it.

so since i have 3 external usb hdd's each with 400 gig,
i got a good order on them, on one is music + some collected downhill/dirt/ ski movies....
on the 2nd i got all my recorded vidz from last season, and this season, not edited.....
And finally on the 3rd one i have all the edited stuff :)...
On my hdd i got mcosx, adobe all programs, on d i got xp ( as second thiggie, works with new macs) and then finally there i have some tools like combustion etcetcetc...
i got every adobe tool not cracked but legal!
RL sports vid making takes much space :( i need to buy some more hdds from saturn since they only cost 99€ there :D

oh and btw i have NO icons on my desktop :) i simply hate this

But do you guys create partitions with some kind of software before instaling windows ?
I have two HDDs with raid0 but then i split them up: 60gb for instaled stuff like programs and 240gb for the rest, I did it with the raid tool.
