I recently found out that I have a provisional distinction (highest honours) in my masters course in statistics and felt I should share this with the great people on this website. This is of course provisional and may change ever so slightly come September.
I very happy with news, I thought I did rather badly in exams but it appears everything went good :) 4 other people on my course (all girls) out of 20 also achieved distinction (70% or more).
Of course, I still have my final year dissertation to do which counts for 1/3 and exams+coursework was 2/3. But nonetheless, all is good and life is great. Getting a distinction (first) in a masters course basically means you are set up for life and should be able to walk into most jobs involving data analysis, medicine or finance, etc.
Thanks for listening guys,
