Varane is doing decent job, even at the first game, he played great. He's barely starting his carieer and has long way to improve, body and technic. Also dobut Drogba will go back to Chelsea, he's getting to old and probably just playing to get some more money.

i fail to see him getting too old for playing on the highest level. i think he can keep it up for at least 2 more years, same goes for frankie lampard

Same goes for David Beckham and probably even Ronaldinho, Raul and many more, but u have to understand that once u played for so many years on top level, u get tired of it and u just cant be arsed to play as serious as u once were, reason most of them try to find less "skilled" clubs and just enjoy playing football without any seriousness and earn decent money cus of their fame.

how do you know that? i completely disagree. some put their heart into the game and are fully dedicated to their teams and despite the age they still crave competition and titles

Cus all the players above that i posted, have won everything possible to be won at first place, so they dont need those stuffs anymore, which proves why every pro player leaves top clubs and plays for some random club, again, u can search by urself, if u dont believe me, but at end, u will see that what i said, is truth. Ofc u can say that some players like Beckham came back to PSG, but im pretty sure that's just an anti-weight in commercial reason for Ibrahimovic.

it's not that they leave cause they want to, usually the clubs don't want to sign longterm contracts cause of the player's age. sometimes the player just wants to change his environment and seeks challenge in a new club which also might pay him more but that doesn't mean that one wants to give it any less than their 100%

Well depends on a player itself, when Drogba went to play at China, he obviously wasn't looking for competition, but money, can say same for Beckham, Henry, Ronaldinho and many more, it all depends on a player.

droba wanted to stay at chelsea but they didnt offer him a new contract until after the cl final when it was obvious they wanted to do it just cause of the ruckus among the fans and papers and as a player signed for 1 year only he would have to finally give up his position and torres would take it as a striker with a future at chelsea. drogba didnt want to sign a pity-contract and he did a right thing cos chelsea's policy about players older than 30 is ridculous

you're misunderstanding my words, just like in your very first comment in this journal. where did i say he was better than drogba? it's obvious he's not even close to being as good. what i meant was that chelsea would have picked torres as the main striker if drogba stayed in the club on the 1 year pity contract. it's an obvious move to field a player who's signed for a few more years and make him a regular than to depend on someone you didn't even want at the start and you know you won't sign afterwards

not mad, i think he's good but never really proved anything on the highest level and he's said to be the greatest defender now by many, too much memes nad hype over him on inets. i'm not saying he won't be excellent in the future but he still has a long way to go

I mean, the guy is in Real since 2011, started to play regulary first team this season only, give him couple of seasons and im sure he will impress u, not to even mention that hes only 19, i mean, younger than most of us, and look where he's already by now. U can't say he didn't proved anything, else he wouldnt be playing in first squad for Real...

He already is on top class, otherwise he wouldn't be in Real at first place, hell, nowhere near first squad positioning, but with years he will improve a lot more and probably if all goes lucky for him, become one of the best defenders on the world.

i watch some real's matches. varane's solid but still makes mistakes sometimes. as a chelsea fan i could boast about azpilicueta as he's a rising star, slowly making ivanovic accept the fact that the right defender's position is cesar's now. but i realise he is yet to reach his peak and madrid fans dont seem to get it when it comes to their new favie
