Ubuntu Phone

What's up Crossfire

I've been looking to buy a new phone for a while now, but I haven't really figured out what I want yet. I currently have a Windows Phone, but I need something new. iPhones are too expensive for me, and I am not a big fan of Android, so I was thinking I might try out Ubuntu.

So I was wondering if anyone here uses Ubuntu on their phone. And if so, what are your thoughts on it?

Cheers!

Yea, let's all buy it cause we need a new one again, even higher quality, that's gonna be a revolution in the history of phones, if you don't buy it, you are outdated and should be put away from society which knows hwo to recognize progress. fuck Iphone, FUCK IPHONE.

I was running Ubuntu for a while(heavily modded though) on my Samsung i9300(S3). It's great, very fast and all but just like windows phone its lacking quite abit of 'extra's'.

But then again so does everything compared to Android. I'd still go with android, use a custom ROM with that which fits your usage more ;)
Truth be told, I won't be needing a lot of extras, just basic stuff. Though, if I WOULD be going for Android, I would use the stock one, not a custom ROM. I have used my friend's old phone with stock Android on it, and it was okay, but I didn't think it was great

Well honestly if all you use is basic stuff, I'd go with Blackberry as they simply have the best 'default' applications and business applications.

I still prefer blackberry over android but blackberry's application support is just horrible and I do like extra's :D

Ubuntu is doing an Indiegogo campaign for the Ubuntu Edge http://www.indiegogo.com/projects/ubuntu-edge
If they don't have a back-up plan, it'll probably fail though, unfortunately
Yeah I know, but that's probably going to be rather expensive :)
