Fb&Google problems [solved]

Bonjour,
Requiring help from fellow crossies!
Context: I'm using a public internet spot from the library where I'm at at the moment.
Issue: I cannot connect to Google or Facebook (it happened to me already once at the same place)
Evidence: The page won't load and instead, I have an error message telling me that there was a failure in the process of connecting to the proxy server. The error code is the following: "ERR_PROXY_CONNECTION_FAILED"
Help required: why can't I connect to these particular websites? What is this proxy error? How do I solve this shit?

Au revoir.

Post-scriptum: I obviously can't google my problem...
Post-scriptum2: Hence no random chick either...

The error simply means what it says, your Chrome (or w/e you use) can't connect to your proxy. So to solve that I guess just disable your proxy in your browser. If that doesn't help there is probably just a setting or w/e on the router/hotspots end, it is a public one and those often have retarded settings to keep things disabled so :X

That's where my knowledge ends so goodluck! :D
Yea, had to do with that, Dualinity's link worked. I just hope that what I unticked has nothing to do with security and public data share and shits like that, I'm pretty ignorant with these specific things...
