Eurocup, open cup & all we need in Crossfires hands?

I was reading the nice news about clanbase decisions to not ban the players who was caught by buying hax.

then xpaz had this comment:

Imo, i think this would be something really interesting to take a discussion about. Can it be done? Is it interesting for the community? and for Crossfire crew(which has to grow alot), Will it still be as interesting to participate in the "euro-cup" if it isnt clanbase who is running it?

Imo, clanbase screwed up again.. this time they didnt even ban players who has bought ET-bots.. do they belive people buy bots only for not using them? I think its time clanbase gets a hit back from the community... But is crossfire the right arena?

I doubt crossfire can compete with opencup, look at the CrossFight which is open for everyone as well but not many people care about it. IF Crossfire would be able to get cash prizes for a cup they might be able to beat the eurocup.

whole community is laughing bout CB, their (non-existing) reactions to the hax, the dropouts at last OC and almost every decision they make.
ESL´s reputation is increasing more and more and why shouldnt xfire also take a part of the cake imo...

Well, first of all the community needs a mentality change. People going around using hacks, getting caught... friends defending the player saying: "ohh he only tried it on public, so we are not going to kick him" etc.

Second of all, it would be a nice thing to have a tournament here at crossfire... if it was possible to export the guid check on the site and server.

I don't think that any league will ever replace EC for ET (How many ECs will ET become? Max. 1-2 more?).
All what they could reach with another league here on crossfire.nu is just being "another league".
Even if they can get prizemoney etc.
I doubt clans will play it as seriously as they play in the EC.
(ESL IPS had more prizemoney than any EC for ET ever had - but way less reputation - so clans just folded)
