seta r_colorbits "16"

I want to know if its not allowed to use seta r_colorbits "16" in ur cfg.. instead of seta r_colorbits "32"

anyone?

I think u mean r_depthbits "16"

yeah..thats what ive noticed sometimes..

its not very often though, but sometimes u get a flash of a guy behind a wall..

its my config, that i got from loekino... so thats why im asking.. cause if i can get banned for having that shit, im turning it to 32.

just for the information.. (i am totaly nub on cfg shit, so I didnt know it before now, when i talked to kiitos and he told me that it might not be allowed to have:<<<)

i have been playing with colorbits 16 for the last 3 years, never had any problems -_- (and i never see someone truh the wall btw T_T)

but imo u can use depthbits 24 as a minimum, 16 is not allowed (but i am not sure :P )

well but i use:
colorbits 16
depthbits 24

...and i never see ppl truh walls T_T, only truh doors sometimes :D

didnt cb say, that a pbss with 16bit where you can see a model through the wall is going to be treated as a cheat, and anyone with such "cheats" would get banned?

they dont even ban ppl who bought hax

Anyway, the CB cfg doesn't have a cvar limitation about that in it.
The Euro cfg's all have:

command "sv_cvar r_depthbits IN 24 32",

so it doesn't really matter if that setting is wrong in your cfg imo. It will be forced anyway, according to the server cfg your playing on.

its allowed, you can even put r_colorbits 8 if you want
r_depthbits is minimum 24 in euro cfg
