driver settings!

here is another journal about drivers!

I have a laptop, so obviously that calls for bad fps, and small screen. however, i just realized, with the help of alexL that i have drivers for my ati x300 mobility radeon. i was able to tweak some stuff, BUT, i tried to install new drivers, but i wasnt able to for some reason!!! so if you know why i couldnt do that, id be grateful!

and also, are external crosshairs allowed? because i found that with r_mode "4" and lowest settings in the drivers, the crosshair had to be size "69" in order to be seen, and that obviously isnt possible to use as the dot covers your entire opponent. (talking to alexl, the topic of external crosshairs was inevitable!)

so if u got some suggestions, id appreciate your help!
and also links to drivers that might work to a ATI MOBILITY RADEON X300 (i think this graphics card is ancient)

crosshair size 45 is already playable for me with lowest settings and r_mode 4

oh ok, when i have sort of low settings i can have 44 crosshairsize, but thats with r_mode 6! i guess ur computer is better or something :<
laptops arent that great :P

dunno, I used r_mode 8 when I played on laptop, and it's broken so I can't test it :P

i got some settings fixed now, there some commands i needed for my cfg, so now i can get pretty low settings without such a HUGe crosshair

Yep, the thing is that I'm not rly an German, because I'm original from romania, so ... But I got the German citizenship ;).

with ati drivers you can set your picmip quite high, if you lower it then you can use smaller crosshairsize

yes I think so, cause on my old PC, if I set the picmic high in the driver, the crosshair would be rly blurred in ET, although you can set r_texturemode to gl_nearest_mipmap_nearest and that would make it a bit sharper

köp klistermärkepapper och sen gör du ett xhair och klistrar på skärmen, det syns inte på pbscreens
